From Aug. 4 through Aug. 9, I will be posting from UNITY 2004 in Washington, DC. UNITY 2004 is the largest gathering of journalists of color in the U.S.

There's going to be a lot to see, including speeches by presidential candidates George Bush and John Kerry. Plus, there's a career fair and a lot of seminars.

Setting course to DC...

Hey. I'm going to head to DC Wednesday morning. I should be in DC in time for the first evening of the convention. There's going to be a lot going on, and I really want to journal my first journalism convention and first visit to the nation's capital.
