Garrett and Ryan's Bogus Journey

Well, the oncoming of fall inspired some last-minute wanderlust in me. I don't know if I'm going to be remaining in the area for much longer, so I wanted to take the opportunity to travel to some key regional highlights -- including Detroit, Chicago and Canada.

At the top of my list was returning to the Twin Cities to see a live performance of A Prairie Home Companion. So Garrett and I took off from Houghton on a chilly early October afternoon (there were warnings of snow in the forecast). Seven hours later we were in Minnesota ready for a full weekend of fun.

A new disposable digital camera helped capture the weekends' activities. The camera was alright -- it had decent resolution and the option to delete the most recent photo. On the other hand, the photos didn't match the viewfinder. We were able to take OK photos after making some adjustments, but shouldn't have to.
